CAYA Community Resilience Scholarship
At Come As You Are (CAYA), we know that true strength isn’t just about facing challenges. It’s about how we lift each other up and grow through them. We are proud to invest in the next generation of local leaders who embody the spirit of perseverance, community service, and dedication to our neighborhoods.
This year, we are awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates a commitment to resilience and community empowerment.
Scholarship Details
Award Amount: $1,000
Application Deadline: June 19th, 2026
Eligibility: Open to all graduating high school seniors residing in Charlottesville or Albemarl
e County.
Essay Requirement
To apply, students must submit a short essay (maximum 500 words) addressing our 2026 theme:
“Resilience in Our Community” Tell us about a time you witnessed or experienced resilience in your local community, how it shaped your perspective, and how you plan to use your education to give back.
